Nursing actions in the care of patients with wounds in primary health care

Objective: To describe the actions of nurses in the care of patients with wounds in primary health care. Methodology: Integrative review of the literature structured in six stages that sought to answer the guiding question: "What are the actions developed by nurses in the care of people with wounds in primary health care?" from the search for freely accessible articles in the databases published in the interval of the last 10 years (2009-2019), based on established eligibility criteria and from the level of evidence of the publications. Results: The studies included for analysis point out the nurse's performance centered on guaranteeing and maintaining physical space in accordance with sanitary norms, health education as an action to promote autonomy and self-care and in observing the social and cultural aspects of the user in the context of improving wound healing.
