Abstract

Objective: to characterize chemical dependence among health professionals. Six articles in Portuguese, English and Spanish published in the last five years (2017 to 2021) were selected. Results: The sample of this study consisted of 06 publications. There is a high consumption of legal and/or illegal substances among health professionals, bringing aggravating consequences both in terms of their professional performance and in terms of the dynamics of interpersonal relationships, especially with damage to their private life.
