Development of a Protocol on the Processing of Health Products in a University Hospital

Abstract

Objective: To develop and validate a Protocol on the Processing of Health Products at the Material and Sterilization Center of a University Hospital in São Paulo. Method: This is a descriptive methodological study of the development of a protocol on the processing of health products. A literature review, written content and images were developed. Validation was performed using the Delphi Technique with the participation of judges. To measure the agreement of the answers obtained, the Content Validity Index (CVI) was used. Results: After the second round of the validation process using the Delphi Technique, the global CVI of the protocol was 1.0, reaching the highest level of agreement. The final version of the protocol has 45 pages, 8 items covered, 32 sub-items and 20 illustrations. Conclusion: The protocol made it possible to reorganize processes, establish flows and standardize scientifically based conducts for health professionals.

Maria Valdenice Lopes dos Santos

Graduated in Nursing from the University of Guarulhos (1995). Specialist in Surgical Center, Anesthetic Recovery and Material and Sterilization Center (2003). Master in Science, Technology and Management Applied to Tissue Regeneration from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). She works as Nurse Coordinator of the Material and Sterilization Center. Associated with the Brazilian Association of Nurses in Surgical Centers and Material and Sterilization Center.

Leila Blanes

Graduated in Nursing from the Federal University of São Paulo (1996), specialization in stomatherapy from the University of São Paulo (1999), master's degree (2002) and doctorate (2005) in Sciences from the Postgraduate Program in Plastic Surgery of the University of São Paulo. Federal of Sao Paulo. Titular Member of the Brazilian Society of Stomatherapy (SOBEST). Vice-coordinator and advisor of the Professional Master's Degree in Science, Technology and Management applied to Tissue Regeneration at Unifesp. She has experience in the field of Nursing, working mainly on the following topics: prevention and treatment of wounds and stoma care, pressure injury, quality of life and hospitalization.

Christiane Steponavicius Sobral Schmidt

He holds a degree in medicine from the Federal University of São Paulo (1995), a doctorate in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery from the Federal University of São Paulo (2004) and a postdoctoral degree in plastic surgery from the Federal University of São Paulo in 2007. Regent of the Residency Service of the Hospital dos Defeitos Da Face- Brazilian Red Cross since February 2014. Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Plastic Surgery, working mainly on the following topics: plastic surgery, burns, keratinocyte culture, tissue engineering, dermal substitutes. Elected president of the Medical Ethics Committee of the Hospital da Cruz Vermelha Brasileira - FESP, in 2013 and 2014.
