Permanent health education and repercussions in the management of cardiorespiratory arrest: integrative literature review

Objective: To know the relationship between permanent education in health and the role of nursing in cardiac arrest and cardiopulmonary resuscitation in Brazil. Method: integrative literature review with 6 phases: definition of the guiding question; literature search; categorization of results; analysis of included studies; discussion of the results and presentation of the integrative review. Research related to scientific productions from 2016 to 2021.Results:Included 08 organized articles: Permanent Health Education tools for nursing professionals about Cardiopulmonary Arrest and Cardipulmonary Resuscitation; weaknesses in the nursing team's knowledge of Cardiopulmonary Arrest and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation; influence of Permanent Health Education on Cardiorespiratory Arrest in professional nursing training. Conclusion: Continuing Health Education is the most appropriate mechanism to apply/stimulate the production of knowledge about Cardiorespiratory Arrest. However, the accountability of educational practices in health by managers does not exempt the professional from being a provider of self-knowledge.
