Between Territories: Cartography of an Office on the Street of the Border Region

Abstract

The objective of this expanded summary was to identify and understand the sociodemographic profile of the homeless population, and to
gather and present epidemiological data and information about the main clinical situations of the population attended by the "Consultório
na Rua" program in the municipality of Foz do Iguaçu. The research for this study was developed through document analysis, using as sources
the Guiding Principles of the "Consultório na Rua" team and the Situational Diagnosis Report conducted in 2022. It became evident that
the mobility and functioning of the service recognize other territories of people experiencing homelessness, often overlooked by other
areas of the Primary Health Care Network. Both historically established and emerging barriers were identified. It is understood that this
population does not use the territory in the way the rationalized city plans, making it unique. The recognition of the service, combined with the
understanding of how people experiencing homelessness live in border territories, in each specific reality, proved essential for promoting care.
