Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of types of cancer in the state of Mato Grosso through of scientific literature. Method: Systematic review research registered through the
protocol in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO) under the number CRD42024505235. Results: The search in the databases totaled 313 articles. Duplicates (107) were removed, resulting in 206 for evaluation. After from the analysis of the title and abstract, 185 studies did not meet the inclusion criteria of this study. Only 21 had the full text evaluated and of these only six were included in the systematic review. Out of 313 articles, six articles were included for the
search. Conclusion: Investing in epidemiological research are important steps to improve case record data, data available through literature cover a small part of the population of Mato Grosso and the quality of the data is
often questionable, understanding that they are estimates and numbers that can be outdated.
