Abstract

Objective: To identify actions that, when nursing students perform, provide an improvement in the quality of life of institutionalized elderly. Method: This is an integrative review constructed from the issue of guidance "What are the contributions of nursing students to improve the quality of life of institutionalized elderly?" after the literature search process, 9 (100%) 2016 as the most frequent number of publications with 3 (33.33%) found items. Results: In view of reading and studying the literature, it was found that the activities developed by the students together with the elderly had positive effects, which can contribute to the maintenance of health and social interaction. Conclusion: With the results obtained it is believed that, putting these methods into practice, a healthy and active form of aging is offered. This raises the debate about the factors that influence the quality of life of institutionalized elderly.
