Vivência do Cuidador Familiar de Pessoas Idosas em Cuidados Paliativos: Tomada de Decisão

Resumo

Objetivo: compreender a vivência do cuidador familiar no processo de tomada de decisão compartilhada em cuidados paliativos a pessoa idosa na Atenção Primária à Saúde. Método: Estudo qualitativo realizado entre outubro de 2022 e fevereiro de 2023 com dez cuidadoras familiares de pessoas idosas em cuidados paliativos na Atenção Primária à Saúde. Os dados foram analisados segundo Bardin. Resultados: Construíram-se as seguintes categorias: Informações ao cuidador familiar necessárias para a tomada de decisão; habilidades de enfrentamento do cuidador familiar para a tomada de decisão. Conclusão: Os recursos e habilidades de enfrentamento foram associadas ao apoio oriundo de informações sobre os cuidados ao longo do curso da doença para gerar segurança e conforto na tomada de decisão.

Graduated in Nursing from the Federal University of Pampa (2024). Member of the Study and Research Group on Human Aging at the Border (GEPESH-FRON). Member of the Center for Studies on Family and Chronicity (NEFAC). Conducts research in the area of palliative care, advance directives, and primary health care.

Cenir Gonçalves Tier, Enfermeira. Doutora em Enfermagem. Docente de enfermagem na Universidade Federal do Pampa.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Nursing from the Integrated Regional University (URI) (2004), a master's degree in Nursing from the Graduate Nursing Program at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) (2006), and a doctorate from the Graduate Nursing Program at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) (2014). She served as Coordinator of Monitoring and Certification for the Dean of Extension at the Federal University of Pampa from 2012 to 2014. She served as coordinator of the Nursing Course from 2015 to 2017. She is currently an associate professor in the Nursing program at the Federal University of Pampa (UNIPAMPA). She has experience in the field of nursing, with an emphasis on elderly health. Leader of the Study and Research Group on Human Aging at the Border (GEPESH-FRON). I am a doctoral student in Science at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) and hold a Master's degree in Nursing from the Graduate Program at the Federal University of Santa Maria (2023). I am the Deputy Leader of the Study and Research Group on Human Aging at the Frontier (GEPESH-FRON), linked to the Federal University of Pampa. I have been conducting research focused on the development of technologies for various nursing scenarios, with an emphasis on creating innovative tools to support professionals in health care and education with the aim of helping to popularize science. Among the areas of greatest interest, I highlight technologies applied to Primary Health Care, digital health, mental health, human aging, advance directives, and care practices in the process of living and dying.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Nursing and Obstetrics from the Regional University of the Northwest of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (1996), a bachelor's degree in Nursing and Obstetrics from the Regional University of the Northwest of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (1996), a master's degree in Nursing from the Federal University of Rio Grande (2007), and a doctorate in Health Sciences from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (2022). She has experience in the field of Nursing, with an emphasis on Nursing in critical patient care, working mainly in the following areas: Cerebrovascular care/stroke and trauma/external causes.

Silvana Bastos Cogo, Enfermeira. Doutora em Enfermagem; Docente de enfermagem na Universidade Federal de Santa Maria

She holds a bachelor's degree in Nursing from the Franciscan University (UFN) (2002), a master's degree in Nursing from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2008), and a doctorate in Nursing from the Federal University of Rio Grande (2016). She is currently an Associate Professor in the Nursing Department at the Federal University of Santa Maria and in the Graduate Nursing Program at UFSM. She is a tutor in the Nursing Tutorial Education Program (PET). She is the leader of the Nursing and Health Study and Research Group (GEPES). Coordinator of the Multiprofessional Academic League of Palliative Care at UFSM (LAMCP). She has experience in the field of nursing, working mainly in the following areas: nursing, the process of death and dying, bioethics, advance directives, palliative care, and care-educational technologies.
